Advisory Meeting

To all Concerned Neighbors:

Alderman Bohl will be holding an advisory meeting regarding the adult developmentally disabled residential facility being built at:  6188 N. 122nd Street.  The meeting will be held at the New Apostolic Church 11722 W. Florist Ave.  The meeting will begin promptly at 6:00pm and conclude by 7:00pm.

The Alderman sent out invitations to all residents within a two block radius of this facility.  After discussing this matter further, both Alderman Bohl and the Park Knoll Board decided to send this to ALL residents in the Park Knoll area.

If you have any questions or concerns this would be the arena to discuss them with the Alderman and the Representatives from the Dungarvin Treatment Facility.

The Developmentally Disabled individuals are a protected class of people under federal law.  Per our understanding this home WILL NOT be able to be stopped from entering our neighborhood.

For those of you that may not be aware, we do have one other facility very similar in nature to this one.  It is located on 117th between Flagg and Carmen.  As of this date, there have been NO problems with this property.  Homes directly in contact with this address have stated they have been very responsible with the property and the residents.

Again, if you have concerns, please plan on attending the meeting on June 22nd at 6:00 pm.

Thank you,
